COOPERATIVA VECCHIA CANTINA DI MONTEPULCIANO
PRODUCERS AND CUSTODIANS OF A SPECIAL LAND
CUSTODIANS OF TRADITION
The Cooperativa Vecchia Cantina di Montepulciano was founded in 1937 and is, today, comprised of about 400 members who have chosen to combine their passion and respect for the land and work together for a common purpose – guaranteeing the continued production of quality products at affordable prices.
The vineyards are located in the Comunes of Montepulciano, Pienza, Cetona, Torrita di Siena, Sinalunga, Foiano della Chiana, Castiglion Fiorentino, Cortona, and Chiusi, but there are also members from Città della Pieve and Castiglione del Lago in Umbria. Essentially, the Cooperative encompasses two Regions, Tuscany and Umbria, and three Provinces, Siena, Arezzo and Perugia.
Supporting our members is a team of agronmists and oenologists that closely assists them during the entire production cycle as well as in marketing the product.
In addition, the Cooperative makes available to members the experience of many years in the sector, accompanied by new and modern production techniques.
The result is a vast assortment of wines produced. Foremost among them is Vino Nobile di Montepulciano D.O.C.G., which is offered in different versions and of which the winery is a leader in the quantity produced.
