What are cookies?
Cookies are small strings of text that sites visited by the user send to his/her terminal (usually the
browser) where they are saved and subsequently retransmitted to the same sites on the next visit by the user.

There are two macro-categories:
“technical” cookies and “profiling” cookies.
This site uses “technical” cookies for the sole purpose of “effecting transmission of a communication on an electronic network, or in the measure that is strictly necessary to the supplier of a service that is expressly requested by the user, in order to effect such service.” (article 122, paragraph 1 of the Code):
they may be divided into navigation or session cookies, which guarantee normal navigation and use of the web site (for example, allowing the user to effect a purchase or access a restricted area) and/or cookie analytics, integrated with technical cookies, where they are used directly by the site manager in order to gather information, in aggregate form, on the number of visitors and the means of arrival at the site, and/or functionality cookies, which permit the user to navigate via a series of selected criteria (for example, language), with the purpose of improving the service to users.
The use of “technical” cookies (session variables whose values are memorised on the hard disk of the device may, however, be erased: it is also possible to disable cookies by following the instructions supplied the main browser, see below) is strictly limited to the transmission of session identifiers (comprised of random numbers generated by the server) and by utilisation data of the software necessary to allow secure and efficient navigation of the site: the variables (cookies) of the session may help avoid recourse to information techniques that may potentially be prejudicial for the confidentiality of the users’ navigation and don’t allow for acquisition of personal
identification data of the user.
This site does not in any way use “profiling” cookies
(utilised to create user profiles for the purpose of sending advertising messages according to the preferences demonstrated by the user during his/her navigation on the web).
This site uses “third party” cookies for the purposes of receiving by the user’s device, during the course of navigation on a site, cookies sent by sites or different web browsers (the information is archived on the third party’s site): for example, “social plugins” for sites such as Facebook, Twitter, Google+ and Linkedin (parts of visited pages generated directly by such sites and integrated into the page of the visited site), the use of which is for the purpose of sharing content via social networks (the presence of these “plugins” involves the transmission of cookies from and to all sites managed by third parties: the treatment of data collected by “third parties” is governed by the relative notifications, which you are requested to review)
This web site uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service furnished by Google, Inc. (“Google”).
